The Cash Flow report starts from the current bank and cash balance and adds open receivables and payables by due date, so you can see the expected balance week by week.

## Before you start

Keep the bank reconciliation up to date, so that the starting balance and the open items match reality. The Cash Flow report follows the due date of the installments, not the accounting date of the entries.

## Step by step

### 1. Open the Cash Flow report

Go to Invoicing > Reporting > MIS Reporting > MIS Reports and choose the Cash Flow report. Open receivables and payables appear in the week of their due date; an entry without a due date uses the entry date.

### 2. Add receipts and payments without an invoice

To include salaries, taxes, loans or capital contributions, record them in Invoicing > Reporting > MIS Reporting > Cash Flow Forecast Line, with the date, a customer or supplier account, a description and the amount: positive for receipts and negative for payments.

### 3. Choose what enters the projection

In the report options, the Target Moves field defines whether only posted entries are included or also draft invoices, which lets you simulate their effect. To leave a customer or supplier account out of the projection, mark Hide in Cash Flow on that account in Invoicing > Configuration > Accounting > Chart of Accounts.

### 4. Keep forecasts and real documents aligned

When a forecast becomes an invoice or a payment, adjust or remove the matching forecast line so the amount is counted only once. Compare the weeks of the report with the open installments and the bank balance.

## Expected result

A week-by-week cash projection that combines the bank balance, the open receivables and payables and the forecast lines.

## If something goes wrong

If the projection shows an amount twice, check the forecast lines that already became invoices. If an invoice already paid still appears, reconcile the payment with the invoice in the bank reconciliation. If a draft invoice does not appear, check the Target Moves option.
