KMEE KDS
KMEE KDS (Kitchen Display System) replaces the kitchen's thermal printer with a screen. The orders that the POS used to print as kitchen tickets now appear on the kitchen screen, organized by station and showing how long each one has been waiting.
What it does
- Receives the order as if it were the printer. The screen takes the place of the kitchen printer on the network. The POS keeps sending the ticket the same way, with no change to the POS.
- Works with the Odoo POS and with other POS systems. Any POS that prints kitchen tickets on a network printer can send its orders to the screen.
- Organizes by kitchen and station. Each station sees the orders that belong to it.
- Configurable preparation stages. The team moves the order through the stages defined by the restaurant, until it is ready.
- Visible waiting time. Each order shows how long it has been waiting and changes color as time goes by.
- Keeps working without internet. Orders are stored on the device itself.
Who it is for
For restaurants, dark kitchens, franchises and food court operations that want to take paper out of the kitchen and track the preparation time of each order.
How it works with Odoo
- KMEE KDS runs on an Android tablet or Android TV box installed in the kitchen.
- In the Odoo POS, the kitchen printer is pointed to the screen.
- When the order is registered, the POS sends the ticket, which appears at the right station.
- The kitchen follows the preparation on the screen and moves each order forward until it is ready.
Getting started
KMEE installs and sets up the screen together with your operation's POS. Learn about the product on the KMEE KDS page of the KMEE website or talk to KMEE.
