Issue boletos and follow CNAB collection files

Link receivable installments to boletos, collection orders and the occurrences of the bank return file. Each bank and agreement uses its own CNAB layout.

Before you start

The collection wallet must be set up as agreed with the bank: bank account, agreement, wallet, numbering, CNAB layout and payment mode. Check the legal name, CPF or CNPJ and address of the payer and of the beneficiary.

Step by step

1. Issue and check the boleto

Confirm the customer invoice with the collection payment mode. Each installment receives its own Nosso Número and becomes a line of the collection order. On the confirmed invoice, click Print Boleto and check the beneficiary, the payer, the bank, the barcode and digit line, the amount and the due date before sending the boleto to the customer.

2. Generate and send the remittance

In Invoicing > Customers > Payment Orders, open the order of the bank's payment mode and check its installments, total and dates. Click Confirm Payments and then Generate Payment File: the remittance file is attached to the order. After sending the file to the bank, click File Successfully Uploaded.

3. Import the return file

Download the return file from the bank and import it in Invoicing > Accounting > Import Batch File, choosing the bank journal. In Invoicing > Accounting > CNAB Return Log, open the bank record and match each occurrence to its installment, separating confirmed registrations, settlements and other occurrences. For settlements, check the amount received, interest, fine, discount and bank fee, and the remaining balance of the installment.

Expected result

Each collection can be followed from the installment and the boleto through the remittance and the bank return to the settlement of the invoice.

If something goes wrong

If the return log shows a boleto that was not found, check that the journal chosen in the import is the one of the bank that generated the remittance. If the bank refuses a title, keep the occurrence code and check the payer data, such as CPF or CNPJ and address.
